Electrostatic Precipitator
Electrostatic Precipitator has the least operating cost amongst gas cleaning devices specially for palm waste fired boiler for achieving ~ 50 mg/NM3 Emission Level.
Dust lasen gas enters through inlet funnel with sudden fall in velocity leading to turbulent & disturbed gas flow. Acpl make gas distribution screen. This is a typical electrode field which is responsible for electrostatic precipitation.
Corona discharge take place around the share barb edges of discharge electrodes suitably designed (with high DC voltage).
The dust particles the gas stream get enveloped by the electrons deposited through corona developed from highly negatively charged discharge electrodes. Charged dust particles are attracted towards collecting grounded electrodes.
